The Weekend Day Centre is a registered charity providing informal day care for people living with dementia and their carers within the borough of Stockport.
It is currently estimated that there are 4,000 people in Stockport with dementia and it is assumed that if prevalence rates remain the same and the population changes as expected there will be a 40% increase in this number by 2040 (Source: The Economic Impact of Dementia, Carnell Farrar 2024).
